System requirements to prepare before installing AIQ Realtime Services.
Storage, CPU, and Memory
Our minimum recommended hardware guidance for this service is 4 cores and 16 GB of memory. It may be possible to run the service using lower specifications with reduced performance, but our team does not test builds against specifications lower than this and we do not recommend it. We are also better able to provide guidance for machines starting at these specifications.
To summarize, our minimum recommended hardware guidance:

No swap
Swap is not recommended. It's a failsafe that impacts performance greatly. Following the minimum recommended hardware guidance should allow enough memory in most cases to avoid the need for swap.
Storage type
It's not recommended to use HDD storage, because it can impact performance. It's better to use SSD storage (NVMe or SATA SSD drives, for example).
